Kyungbok University received the grand prize for two consecutive years at the ‘New York Festival (NYF) Korea National Brand (K-NBA)’.
On the 2nd, Kyungbok University announced that it was selected as the first place for two consecutive years this year and last year in the UNIVERSITY COLLEGE category of ‘THE 2025 NYF-K-NBA’.
At the awards ceremony, President Jeon Ji-yong of Kyungbok University said, "Consistently practicing Kyungbok University's vision, expertise, entrepreneurship, and the ideal of global citizen talent brought about good results," and added, "We will continue to strive to realize Kyungbok University's vision of ‘From Potential to Expert!’."
Kyungbok University is actively promoting the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) and the utilization of digital twin technology, leading innovative technology development and practical application in various industrial fields.

In addition, it is expanding various education and research support to strengthen practical AI capabilities. While expanding AI utilization education programs and promoting curriculum reform reflecting the latest technologies, it is also operating a ‘Level 2 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Education Instructor’ qualification course for faculty and staff.
Furthermore, various activities for creativity development, such as the ‘Generative AI ART Contest,’ are being conducted. An AI-based education platform has been established to provide a customized learning environment, and industry-academia cooperation projects supporting the application of AI technology in industrial sites are actively underway in collaboration with companies and institutions.
Moreover, Kyungbok University developed the university-customized chatbot KBU AI BOT using AI technology through an AI hackathon competition and released it on the official website. It also published a research paper analyzing the educational effects of AI-based digital textbooks in the international academic journal Applied Sciences, presenting research results that AI-based learning positively influences self-directed learning ability improvement and customized learning path setting.
