Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on the 2nd that it donated 50 million won to the National Disaster Relief Association to support wildfire damage recovery and aid for disaster victims. Separately, voluntary fundraising by employees is also underway.
Earlier, on the 29th and 30th of last month, SH Corporation employees visited Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, an area affected by the wildfire, to participate in volunteer activities. They supported firefighters involved in the extinguishing efforts by packing and distributing meals.
Through this donation and volunteer work, SH Corporation hopes for the swift recovery of the disaster area and the rapid return to daily life for the affected residents.
Hwang Sang-ha, President of SH Corporation, said, "I hope this small but practical help reaches the residents suffering from the prolonged wildfire and the firefighters risking their lives on the scene. SH Corporation empathizes with unexpected disasters and the pain they cause, and will continue to actively engage in disaster response and support."
