This campaign, which began in October last year, aims to widely inform the public about the seriousness of demographic changes caused by low birth rates and an aging population, and to build national consensus. It is spreading nationwide as government ministries, local governments, public institutions, and companies participate in a relay format.

Chairman Lee Hosung joined the campaign after being nominated by the chairman of Hampyeong County Council and stated, "The population issue is no longer a matter for the future," adding, "The council will take the lead in establishing effective population policies to improve the quality of life for residents and ensure the sustainable development of the region."

The 9th Muan County Council is currently operating the "Special Committee on Countermeasures for Population Decline in Muan County" and is working to address population issues in various ways. Moving forward, the council plans to focus even more on legislation and policy proposals to develop practical solutions to population problems.

Meanwhile, Chairman Lee Hosung nominated Choi Daewon, Chairman of Gwangyang City Council, and Seo Sunseon, Chairman of Gangjin County Council, as the next participants in the campaign.
