On the 2nd, Hanam City stated in a press release, "There are claims spreading online and on social media that Hanam City suddenly refused the rental of the Gamildong Administrative Welfare Center for a National Assembly member's constituency report meeting. This is not true," clarifying the situation.

According to Hanam City, on the 1st, Councilor A of Hanam City Council inquired about the possibility of renting the main auditorium of the Gamildong Administrative Welfare Center to hold a National Assembly member's constituency report meeting. The Gamildong Administrative Welfare Center explained that, according to Article 3, Clause 5 of the "Hanam City Resident Autonomy Center Installation and Operation Ordinance," political use is prohibited, and verbally made it clear that the rental was not allowed.

Nevertheless, on the same day, a rental application was unilaterally submitted, and it was announced that the constituency report meeting would be held at the facility, Hanam City stated. Accordingly, on the morning of the 2nd, Hanam City sent an official letter by mail to the National Assembly member's office and directly delivered an official document to Councilor A to notify again that the rental was not permitted.

Hanam City emphasized, "The claim that Hanam City suddenly refused the rental is not true. We have consistently communicated our position through prior verbal guidance and official documents," adding, "We will continue to strictly adhere to the political neutrality and fair operation principles of public facilities."

Meanwhile, some political circles have voiced opposition regarding this rental refusal measure, and the controversy is expected to continue.
