Song Byungkook Inaugurated as President of Soonchunhyang University... "Will Lead Student Success and Regional Innovation"

Held in Conjunction with the 47th Anniversary Foundation Ceremony

Soonchunhyang University held the inauguration ceremony for President Song Byung-guk and the 47th anniversary foundation ceremony simultaneously at the Humanities and Sciences Building auditorium on the 2nd.

The event was attended by Seo Gyoil, Chairman of the Dong-eun Academy Foundation, National Assembly members Bok Giwang, Uh Kigoo, Yeom Taeyoung, and Baek Sunhee, as well as Park Jeongju, Deputy Governor for Administrative Affairs of South Chungcheong Province, and Cho Ilgyo, Acting Mayor of Asan, among others.

In his congratulatory speech, Chairman Seo Gyoil said, "President Song understands Soonchunhyang better than anyone else, and we have high expectations for his insightful leadership," emphasizing, "Now is the time to prepare for Soonchunhyang's future as it grows together with the region and advances as a hub for the medical industry."

President Song stated, "I will set a new university management vision as 'a greater Soonchunhyang leading student success and regional innovation,'" adding, "I will actively support all members by respecting their potential and opinions so that they can succeed."

He then presented the core strategies for realizing this vision: ▲ an educational innovation and student success support system ▲ reinforcement of research innovation through a convergence research system and global network ▲ creation of a regional innovation ecosystem for mutual growth between the local community and industries.
