Executives and Employees Join the Cause
20 Million Won Donated
The Fire Insurance Association announced on the 2nd that it has donated 20 million won raised by its executives and employees to the Community Chest of Korea, also known as Sarangui Yeolmae, to help residents affected by large wildfires recover from damages.
Of the donation, 10 million won was contributed by the association, and the other 10 million won was collected together by the association’s executives and employees. The funds will be used for restoration activities in major wildfire-affected areas, relief for disaster victims, and urgent support for livelihood stabilization.
Kang Young-gu, chairman of the association, said, "We hope this will provide some help to the residents suffering from the wildfires," adding, "We will continue to work closely with related organizations to prevent disasters such as fires and to strengthen safety measures."
