This project has a total budget of 68.4 million KRW (50% from the national government, 15% from the provincial government, and 35% from the city). It aims to resolve inconveniences faced by persons with disabilities in daily life and to enhance safety and convenience of movement within the home by supporting the installation of customized convenience facilities through the renovation of key areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.

Once selected, each household will receive up to 3.8 million KRW in support for the installation of customized convenience facilities and safety devices, including improvements to entryways (removal of thresholds, widening of doorways), non-slip flooring, safety handles, and adjustable-height sinks and washbasins.

Eligibility is limited to registered persons with disabilities residing in Changwon whose household income is below the previous year's average monthly income of urban workers. Applicants must either own their home or, in the case of rental households, have the homeowner's consent for the renovations and agree to reside in the home for at least four years after the work is completed.

Applications can be submitted at the local Eup, Myeon, or Dong Administrative Welfare Center. Priority will be given to those with household income below 50% of the median, those with higher disability grades, and elderly applicants. However, households that have received similar home modification support within the past three years will be excluded from this program.

Park Seongok, Director of Urban Policy, stated, "We hope that this project will allow persons with disabilities who face difficulties in daily life to live more conveniently and safely," and added, "We will continue to implement various housing welfare policies to improve the quality of life for families of persons with disabilities."
