SPC Samlip is showing a strong gain of over 5% thanks to the popularity of KBO Bread (KBOppang).
As of 10:38 AM on the 2nd, SPC Samlip's stock price rose 5.40% (3,300 KRW) from the previous trading day to 64,400 KRW. It has been on an upward trend for four consecutive trading days since the 28th.
SPC Samlip launched KBO Bread in collaboration with the KBO and the Korea Professional Baseball Players Association (KPBPA) to coincide with the opening of this year's domestic professional baseball (KBO) season. The product features bread representing the characteristics of nine professional baseball teams, excluding the Lotte Giants, and includes a 'Ttibu Seal' (removable sticker) inside the package with photos of representative players and mascots from each of the nine teams. It has raised expectations for success by selling 1 million packs within just three days of its release.
Shim Eun-joo, a researcher at Hana Securities, said about SPC Samlip, "The positive momentum from KBO Bread sales is expected to accelerate revenue growth starting from the second quarter of this year," maintaining a 'Buy' investment rating and a target price of 80,000 KRW.
