Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation Currency Museum Hosts the 6th International Jangdabi Exhibition

The Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation announced on the 2nd that it will hold the rental exhibition "The 6th International Jangdabi Exhibition" at the special exhibition hall of the Currency Museum until the 20th of this month.

The Jangdabi Exhibition has been held annually around April 20th, "Disability Day," since 2020, organized by the Korea Disabled People's Federation (hereinafter DPI) and Daejeon DPI. The exhibition features collaborations between disabled artists and multicultural non-disabled artists.


DPI is an organization established in Ottawa, Canada, in 1986 with the goal of achieving full social participation and equal opportunities for people with disabilities. Daejeon DPI was founded in 2017. Since its establishment, Daejeon DPI has been conducting regular invited lectures and various social contribution activities to improve the rights and interests of people with disabilities.


This exhibition features 28 participants, including amateur and professional artists. The participating artists will present 36 works including paintings, photographs, and crafts to the public.


Sung Chang-hoon, President of the Korea Minting Corporation, said, "The Jangdabi Exhibition will be an opportunity to showcase works filled with the warm sensibilities and passion of disabled, non-disabled, and multicultural artists," adding, "I hope everyone enjoys a pleasant outing and cultural experience during this season when cherry blossoms are in full bloom."
