Applications accepted from the 7th to the 11th
A total of 130 units available
Cheonan City in Chungnam Province announced on the 2nd that it will resume the purchase-based rental housing project, which had been suspended for seven years due to difficulties in securing housing units.
The city, in cooperation with Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), will recruit preliminary tenants for purchase-based rental housing from the 7th to the 11th to stabilize housing for low-income households.
The supply targets are existing houses in urban areas such as Sinbang-dong and Dujung-dong, with a total of 130 units available: Type 1 for households of up to two people (exclusive area of 50㎡ or less) and Type 2 for households of three to four people (exclusive area exceeding 50㎡ and up to 85㎡).
The rental conditions are set at about 30% of the prevailing jeonse price, and specific terms will be individually notified to selected tenants at the time of contract guidance.
Applications can be submitted at the local administrative welfare centers in the applicant's registered area of residence.
Yoon Eunmi, head of the Welfare Policy Division, said, "After long efforts, we have secured units for the purchase-based rental housing project. We hope this will help provide a stable housing environment for vulnerable groups."
