[Special Stock] Chamjoeun Travel Highlights as Solely Selected for Korea Visa Application Center in Qingdao, China

According to the industry, Chamjoeun Travel was selected as the operator of the Qingdao Visa Application Center in a public contest for private businesses handling visa-related services hosted by the Ministry of Justice, and officially began operations from the previous day.

The newly established Qingdao Visa Application Center is located near the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Qingdao and covers a total area of 300 pyeong (1,054㎡). The center is equipped with various convenience facilities such as a waiting room for applicants, reception counters, a VIP meeting room, and a nursing room, staffed by a total of 35 professionals. Its main duties include visa application reception and issuance, fee collection, civil service consultation, and information provision.

The number of visa applications from the Shandong Province in China decreased during the COVID-19 pandemic from about 180,000 cases in 2019 before the pandemic, but recovered to approximately 120,000 cases last year.

Chamjoeun Travel plans to utilize the Qingdao Visa Application Center not just as a space for visa administrative tasks but as a hub for private exchanges between Korea and China. Especially since it is the first place Chinese visitors to Korea encounter, the center will focus on creating a positive first impression. To this end, the center will maximize convenience for applicants while also operating as a space providing Korean culture and travel information.
