Supplying 'Dynapro AT2 Xtreme'
Hankook Tire & Technology announced on the 2nd that it will supply original equipment tires for Kia's first pickup truck, the 'Tasman', for the Australian export model.
The Hankook Tire product fitted on the Tasman is the 'Dynapro AT2 Xtreme', a tire optimized for both on- and off-road use for sports utility vehicles (SUVs).
The 'Dynapro AT2 Xtreme', installed on the Tasman's top off-road specialized trim X-Pro, is an 'All-Terrain' product designed specifically for high-performance SUVs and pickup trucks. It was developed to support overwhelming driving performance even in extreme driving conditions by combining powerful driving force, braking, handling, and enhanced mileage performance.
The tread (the tire surface in contact with the ground) features an optimized block pattern with main grooves and fine grooves arranged in multiple directions, providing excellent grip, cornering, and handling performance regardless of driving direction. Additionally, a deep and aggressive sidewall design is adopted to further enhance driving force, supporting optimal off-road performance.
It also delivers outstanding braking and handling performance on snowy roads. The block end design, which grips the road surface tightly, maintains stable traction even on slippery surfaces, and it has obtained the essential European winter tire certification mark '3PMSF (3-Peak Mountain Snowflake)'.
A Hankook Tire official expressed, "Through this original equipment tire supply, we expect it to be an opportunity to further elevate the innovative technology of the SUV-exclusive tire brand 'Dynapro' and the premium status of the global integrated brand 'HANKOOK' among local customers in Oceania, including Australia and New Zealand."
