The Seongju Foundation recently donated 100 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross on the 31st of last month to support the stabilization of living conditions and the recovery of areas affected by wildfires that occurred nationwide.
The Seongju Foundation stated, "We hope this support will be a small help in the prompt recovery and healing of the affected areas," and added, "We intend to actively participate in domestic and international disaster and crisis situations going forward." The donation will be used for practical support such as emergency relief supplies for disaster victims, living expenses, and securing temporary housing.
The Seongju Foundation is a women's welfare foundation established in 2009 based on Christian principles to fulfill corporate social responsibility and realize a sustainable society.
Since 2012, it has participated in Red Cross humanitarian activities to assist disaster victims both domestically and internationally. The total cumulative donations made to the Korean Red Cross to date amount to 4.1 billion KRW.
