10% Discount on Fuel at SK Energy and GS Caltex Stations
5% Off on Telecommunications, Convenience Stores, and Online Shopping Malls
Samsung Card announced on the 2nd that it has launched two types of 'Samsung iD STATION Card (SK Energy·GS Caltex)' in collaboration with SK Energy and GS Caltex. The cards offer discount benefits not only on fuel expenses but also in everyday areas such as telecommunications, convenience stores, and online shopping malls.
First, a 10% discount is provided when refueling at SK Energy and GS Caltex stations. The monthly fuel discount limit is up to 35,000 KRW. Benefits are available for users who spend more than 400,000 KRW in the previous month.
Specialized services are offered for each affiliated oil company. The SK Energy affiliated card provides Speedmate vehicle inspection services. It offers a 20,000 KRW discount twice a year on engine oil changes. Vehicle safety inspections, tire puncture repairs, and tire rotation services are each provided free of charge once a year.
The GS Caltex affiliated card features an automatic GS&Point accumulation service. Customers can accumulate points without presenting a separate point card.
GS&Points are points earned when using GS Caltex and Auto Oasis. They can be used like cash at GS&Point usage locations such as GS25, GS The Fresh, and GS Shop.
Additional benefits are structured based on consumption data of customers using fuel services. Customers receive a 5% discount at frequently used telecommunications, convenience stores, and online shopping malls. Discounts are capped at 5,000 KRW per month per category. Discount benefits are available for users who spend more than 400,000 KRW in the previous month.
The annual fee for both new products, domestic-only and international (Mastercard), is 15,000 KRW.
A Samsung Card representative said, "In an era of high oil prices, we included up to 35,000 KRW monthly fuel discounts and benefits in everyday areas preferred by customers to help save living expenses," adding, "We plan to continue launching useful products for customers."
