Strengthening AI-Based Customized Employment Support
The University Job Plus Center at Seoul National University of Science and Technology announced on the 4th that it will actively operate customized employment service projects for enrolled students this year with a budget of 744 million KRW.
To this end, on February 27, a business agreement ceremony for the 2025 Ministry of Employment and Labor project was held with the University Job Plus Centers under the jurisdiction of the Seoul Northern Employment Center of the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office.
Seoul National University of Science and Technology has been selected for three consecutive years as a university operating customized employment services for enrolled students. Additionally, SeoulTech has been selected for three consecutive years as an operating university for customized employment services for enrolled students, starting with the 2023 pilot project, to support early employment and social advancement of students.
The University Job Plus Center operates tailored projects to strengthen employment competitiveness, including the Build-up Project for lower-grade students and the Jump-up Project for upper-grade students. The Build-up Project is a program for early career planning and competency enhancement. The Jump-up Project supports systematic preparation from setting employment goals to post-employment, allowing participants to apply for the 'Jump-up Point Allowance' after employment.
Since the start of the 2023 pilot project, SeoulTech has provided systematic support from early career planning to practical employment linkage based on the successful operation of the 'Customized Employment Service for Enrolled Students.' In particular, it has established a grade-specific tailored support system and integrated digital-based employment tools, earning recognition for enhancing students' employment capabilities.
The main programs include the Build-up Project for lower-grade students and the Jump-up Project for upper-grade students. Build-up focuses on career exploration and competency design, while Jump-up covers everything from setting employment goals to practical preparation, with the option to apply for the 'Jump-up Point Allowance' upon successful employment.
Moreover, the employment support platform 'JobCare,' which incorporates AI technology, has been introduced to assist in establishing personalized employment activity plans and creating career development roadmaps. Students show high satisfaction as they can acquire self-directed career planning and career management know-how through one-on-one consultations with professional consultants.
During March, the 'Jae-Mat-Go (Customized Employment Service for Enrolled Students) Gather' briefing session was held, attracting over 60 enrolled students and receiving great response. The briefing shared practical employment strategies such as how to participate in the project, tips for writing self-introduction letters, and analysis of hiring trends by industry.
Jung Ho-yeon, Director of the University Job Plus Center, stated, “Through three-dimensional employment support combining AI technology and expert consulting, we will help students prepare for their future more proactively,” adding, “We plan to continue efforts to build an employment ecosystem that broadly encompasses local youth and graduates.”
