Kiwoom Securities announced on the 2nd that it will hold an event until June 30th called ‘Up to 140,000 KRW Benefits When Trading ETFs in Brokerage-type ISA.’ Customers who trade ETFs from the designated asset management companies will be entered into a draw to receive mobile gifticons worth up to 140,000 KRW based on their net purchase amount.
The eligible asset management companies’ ETFs are Kiwoom Asset Management (KOSEF, Heroes), Mirae Asset Global Investments (TIGER), Samsung Asset Management (KODEX), Korea Investment Management (ACE), KB Asset Management (RISE), TIMEFOLIO Asset Management (TIMEFOLIO), and Truston Asset Management (TRUSTON).
The brokerage-type ISA account allows direct management of domestic listed stocks and various financial products within a single account. Profits generated in the account are tax-exempt up to 2 million KRW for the general type (up to 4 million KRW for the basic type). However, if the account is terminated early during the mandatory subscription period, income tax equivalent to the tax exemption benefit will be reclaimed.
