Four Social Contribution Activities Held to Mark the Anniversary
On the 1st, the Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Kibo) celebrated its 36th anniversary by holding a 'Social Contribution Day' and carried out various social contribution activities in collaboration with the local community.
This Social Contribution Day was organized to further strengthen the social contribution activities that Kibo has continuously promoted and to fulfill its social responsibility as a public institution. On this day, Kibo conducted sharing activities divided into four themes: ▲(Disaster Support) Donation to the Korean Red Cross ▲(Vulnerable Groups) Delivery of Blood Donation Certificates ▲(Educational Donation) Support for Art and Culture Experience ▲(Regional Coexistence) Exhibition of Works by Young Artists.

First, Kibo donated 30 million KRW collected through employee fundraising to the Busan branch of the Korean Red Cross to aid in the recovery from wildfire damage. This donation will be used for the swift restoration of the affected areas and support for residents.
In addition, 150 blood donation certificates voluntarily collected by employees were also donated. The donated certificates will be used to support medically vulnerable groups such as children with leukemia. Along with this, local children were invited to the headquarters to participate in an art and culture experience program that combined science, art, and culture at the Science and Technology Experience Zone. The children had the opportunity to enhance their interest in science and art and develop creativity through various hands-on activities.
Kibo also collaborated with the Busan Cultural Foundation to create an exhibition space at its headquarters for young local artists and held an exhibition of their works. This exhibition supported their creative activities while providing local residents with opportunities to experience culture and arts, adding meaning to regional coexistence.
Kim Jong-ho, Chairman of Kibo, stated, “We hope that the daily lives of local residents who have suffered great difficulties due to recent wildfire damage will recover quickly. As a public institution, we will strive harder to coexist with the local community and support vulnerable groups,” and added, “We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities that provide practical help to society so that Kibo can grow together with the people.”
