Gyeonggi Province will operate 30 sessions of the Maintenance School for redevelopment and reconstruction associations this year.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 2nd that starting from the 9th in Uijeongbu City and continuing until October, it will conduct a total of 30 sessions of the on-site customized "2025 Visiting Maintenance School" to enhance transparency and promptness in redevelopment and reconstruction maintenance projects in old downtown areas.
Maintenance projects involve complex procedures and various legal issues, which often lead to misunderstandings among association members, resulting in ongoing conflicts and disputes.
Reflecting these demands, Gyeonggi Province has diversified topics this year to include dissolution and liquidation, construction cost disputes, electronic voting systems, and expanded the number of sessions compared to the previous year, operating a total of 30 sessions.
The main education areas include ▲maintenance project procedures, association establishment and operation, contractor selection, electronic voting system ▲construction cost disputes, contract negotiations with contractors, dissolution and liquidation ▲standard budget accounting regulations ▲estimated contributions and appraisals, commercial negotiation, etc.
Additionally, Gyeonggi Province is the first metropolitan local government to establish the "Gyeonggi Province Maintenance Project Onnuri System," which computerizes the association's work processes such as budgeting, accounting, personnel, and administration for maintenance projects (redevelopment and reconstruction), and will provide the service starting in June.
Son Imseong, Director of the Urban Housing Office of Gyeonggi Province, said, "The education sessions conducted in 2023 and 2024 received high satisfaction and were evaluated as practically helpful. In 2025, by expanding the number of sessions, we expect to provide professional knowledge to more association members, thereby delivering accurate information about maintenance projects, promoting transparent and efficient project implementation, preventing disputes, and enhancing reliability."
