Resolving Issues Caused by Early Sell-Outs
Providing Benefits to More Residents
Sancheong County in Gyeongnam Province announced on the 2nd that it will revise the purchase limits and issuance plans for the Sancheong Sarang Gift Certificate.
This measure aims to resolve issues caused by the early sell-out of the Sancheong Sarang Gift Certificate (hereafter referred to as the Gift Certificate) and to provide benefits to more residents.
Accordingly, the individual purchase limit for paper gift certificates has been adjusted from 300,000 won per month to 200,000 won, and for mobile gift certificates from 400,000 won per month to 300,000 won.
Additionally, the individual holding limit for mobile gift certificates has been reduced from 1,000,000 won to 600,000 won. However, the discount rate when purchasing the gift certificates will remain at 10%.
In particular, to address fairness issues caused by first-come, first-served sales, the issuance schedule has been changed from a monthly fixed amount to twice a year (April and September). If there are unsold gift certificates, they will be carried over to the following month.
A Sancheong County official stated, "We hope that this policy change will help reduce the living expenses burden for our residents," and added, "As the Sancheong Sarang Gift Certificate plays an important role in the local economy, we will continue to come up with various measures."
