Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Yoo In-chon sent a congratulatory message on April 1 to pianist Kim Sehyun (18), who won the Long Thibaud International Competition in France, and Lee Hyo (18), who was awarded 'third place with no second place,' saying, "This has become an opportunity to showcase the outstanding talent of K-Classical to the world."

In his message, Minister Yoo said, "I sincerely congratulate you on the honor of receiving this award."
He added, "I offer heartfelt applause for the intense contemplation and effort you must have devoted to reach this moment of glory. I hope today's remarkable achievement will further heighten public interest and affection for our classical music scene."
He continued, "I will support both of you so that your music may resonate even more deeply and move people around the world."
Kim Sehyun and Lee Hyo, both born in 2007, competed in the piano finals of the Long Thibaud International Competition held in Paris, France, on March 30 (local time), where they won first place and third place with no second place, respectively. Kim Sehyun also received the special 'Audience Award.'
