Providing Home Medical Services for Vulnerable Households
Gokseong County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Jo Sangrae), announced on the 1st that the 'Gokseong-style Village Primary Care System,' one of the pledges of the 8th popularly elected administration, has officially begun operation as of March.
The 'Gokseong-style Village Primary Care System' is a program in which medical staff visit vulnerable households with mobility difficulties among those in need of health management, providing health care and customized medical services.
For individuals selected based on a physician's assessment, medical staff visit directly to provide health consultations and basic examinations. They also investigate the health status and needs of the recipients, offering tailored medical services through home care instructions. In addition, regular case meetings between the visiting health team and medical professionals are held to provide ongoing management for the recipients, aiming to increase satisfaction.
An official from the county stated, "We will do our best to provide home health management for each recipient and eliminate gaps in medical care," adding, "We plan to continuously promote the program to expand the number of beneficiaries through active implementation."
