"Together Locally and Globally"... Hoban Group Invests 7 Billion Won in Social Contributions

Hoban Group is fulfilling its corporate social responsibility by continuing systematic and sustainable social contribution activities in various fields such as education, community, vulnerable groups, culture and arts, and disaster relief. The amount spent on social contribution activities exceeds 7 billion KRW.

"Together Locally and Globally"... Hoban Group Invests 7 Billion Won in Social Contributions

Hoban Construction, Daehan Electric Wire, and Daeacheonggwa recently donated a total of 300 million KRW to support recovery efforts for the wildfire damage in the Yeongnam region. In addition, since 2023, they have supported a total of 1.2 billion KRW for relief activities on a global scale, including recovery from the earthquake in Turkey and the war damage in Ukraine.


In the scholarship sector, various programs are being operated to support the education of children of national public officials and to nurture local talents. The Hoban Scholarship Foundation has so far provided a total of 3.1 billion KRW in scholarships as "Local Talent Scholarships" to 11 regions including Seoul and Gyeonggi. Furthermore, last year, they delivered 60 million KRW as the “Companion Scholarship” for children of soldiers, firefighters, and police officers, putting effort into supporting families of public sector workers.


Cooperation with military units is also active. Since 2015, Hoban Group has formed a sisterhood relationship with the Army’s 3rd Corps and has sponsored a total of 420 million KRW for soldier welfare, including 50 million KRW in 2023.


Support for the medical sector is also notable. To date, they have donated a total of 2.1 billion KRW in cooperation with Yonsei University Medical Center, Seoul National University College of Medicine, and Catholic University College of Medicine. Recently, they additionally donated 50 million KRW to Yonsei Severance Children’s Hospital for patients suffering from rare and intractable diseases.


A Hoban Group official stated, “Under the vision of being a reliable partner contributing to various sectors of society, we will continue to carry out diverse social contribution activities for sustainable community development beyond corporate social responsibility.”
