At around 2:28 p.m. on the 1st, a fire broke out on a hillside in Buksang-myeon, Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, and forestry authorities are carrying out firefighting operations.
The Korea Forest Service responded to a report of heavy smoke on the mountain and urgently deployed two firefighting helicopters, 11 fire trucks, and 30 personnel to extinguish the fire.
It was reported that winds of about 1 meter per second were blowing at the scene.

Earlier, at around 1:56 p.m. on the same day, a wildfire broke out in Myeongseok-myeon, Jinju-si, and one minute later at 1:57 p.m. in Daega-myeon, Goseong-gun, with forestry authorities responding to extinguish the fires.
The authorities are making efforts to prevent the fires from spreading into large-scale wildfires, and once the fires are under control, they plan to investigate the exact cause and the extent of the damage.
