Concurrent Appointment as Chairman of the Quality Innovation Committee

President Choi Wonjun Also Appointed as MX Division COO
Samsung Electronics announced on the 1st that it has appointed Roh Tae-moon, President of the Mobile Experience (MX) Division, as the acting head of the Device Experience (DX) Division, which became vacant due to the passing of the late Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee.

President Roh will concurrently serve as the Chairman of the Quality Innovation Committee, a position previously held by Vice Chairman Han, in addition to his existing role as head of the MX Division. Samsung Electronics stated, "By entrusting the acting head role of the DX Division to the MX Division leader, we aim to stabilize the organization at an early stage."
President Roh is a smartphone expert who led the development of the Galaxy series and created the 'Galaxy legend.' Born in 1968, he graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Electronic Engineering and from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) with a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering. He joined Samsung Electronics' Wireless Business Division in 1997 and has built nearly 30 years of experience in the wireless division, serving as head of the Innovation Product Development Team, Product Strategy Team, and Development Office. He has been leading the MX Division (formerly the Wireless Business Division) since 2020 and has concurrently served as head of the Design Management Center since 2022. He was reappointed as an inside director at the shareholders' meeting held on the 19th.
Meanwhile, Choi Won-jun, Head of Development and Global Operations Team Leader (President) of the MX Division in the DX Division, will also take on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the MX Division in addition to his current positions. The head of the Digital Appliances (DA) Division, a position previously held by Vice Chairman Han, will be taken over by Kim Cheol-gi, Head of Strategy and Marketing Office (Vice President) of the MX Division.
