Gwangju Office of Education Holds AI Future Education Briefing Session

First Public Introduction of Gwangju-style EdTech
Aiming to Implement in 100 Schools This Year

On the 1st, the Gwangju Office of Education held the "2025 AI Gwangju Future Education Policy Briefing" at the Gwangju Office of Education Training Institute, sharing its vision for AI-based education.

The event was attended by about 800 participants, including vice principals and teachers from elementary, middle, high, and special schools, as well as education professionals. The briefing consisted of an introduction to the Gwangju-style AI future education policy, followed by a report on the results of establishing the integrated teaching and learning platform "Gwangju AI-ON."

Gwangju AI-ON is an integrated platform that allows users to access various EdTech services and content with a single login. Since March, the city office has been piloting the platform at 30 leading schools and 4 research schools, and plans to expand its application to 100 schools, focusing on interested schools, by December.

The briefing provided detailed introductions to major policies promoted by the city office, including the results and classroom cases of AI-ON, innovation in digital-based classes, operational strategies for the AI future education curriculum, the science education project "Nobel+ON," and "Math Is Coming" for strengthening math competency. An "AI-ON Experience Booth" was also set up near the venue, giving participants the opportunity to try out the platform firsthand.

Superintendent Lee Jungseon said, "We are steadily preparing for future education that fits the era of digital transformation," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that not a single student in Gwangju is left behind and that everyone receives customized education."
