KB Kookmin Bank and Ministry of National Defense Launch 'Virtual Account Treasury Collection Service'

Paying Ministry of National Defense Taxes and Utility Bills via Virtual Accounts Without Visiting the Bank

KB Kookmin Bank announced that starting from the 1st, it will support the Ministry of National Defense's treasury collection service using virtual accounts.

Civilians can now conveniently pay the treasury funds owed to the Ministry of National Defense, such as taxes, utility bills, and fines, through virtual accounts without visiting the bank. To resolve these inconveniences, the Ministry of National Defense has been building a collaborative system with commercial banks, including KB Kookmin Bank, since the second half of last year.

Based on its past experience of establishing the 'Direct Billing System for Soldier Medical Expenses,' which simplified the medical expense support process for private hospitals, KB Kookmin Bank successfully completed testing and pilot operations.

A Ministry of National Defense official stated, "Starting with the launch of this service, we will continue to foster win-win cooperation with the private sector in the financial field," adding, "We will continue to strive to enhance convenience for the public."

A KB Kookmin Bank representative said, "We are pleased to contribute to the digitalization of defense financial operations," and added, "We will continue to be a reliable financial partner working alongside the military."

Meanwhile, KB Financial Group provides financial services for military personnel, including the KB Kookmin Nara Sarang Card, KB Nara Sarang Preferential Account, and KB Nara Sarang Savings. KB Kookmin Bank has also been serving as the financial operator for the second phase of the Nara Sarang Card since 2015.
