Seoul City Council Emergency Session Convened on the 3rd for Rapid Support of Wildfire Damage

Chairman Choi Ho-jung Expresses Condolences for Wildfire Damage
and Pledges Active Support from the Seoul Metropolitan Council

The Seoul Metropolitan Council (Chairman Choi Ho-jung) will hold the 329th extraordinary session for one day on the 3rd.

During this extraordinary session, agenda items for supporting the recovery from the large-scale wildfire damage will be addressed.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to urgently submit the "2025 Regional Exchange Cooperation Fund Operation Plan Amendment (Draft)" to increase the project budget for relief in wildfire-affected areas and securing contingency funds.

The Seoul Metropolitan Council held an emergency meeting with the chairpersons and standing committee heads to discuss the schedule of the extraordinary session, deliver part of the council activity expenses to relief organizations, and discuss plans for council members and staff to raise funds and directly participate in supporting the recovery of the affected areas.

Chairman Choi said, "We express our condolences for the unprecedented scale of wildfire damage and will actively support the Seoul Metropolitan Council's efforts to overcome difficulties and swiftly restore daily life."
