The 190 Seungdal scholarship recipients for the first half of 2025 were selected based on the foundation's operating regulations, with scores calculated by combining academic performance and living conditions. It was decided to award a total of 197 million KRW in scholarships.

Scholarship recipients were chosen in various categories, including academic excellence, low-income, arts and sports, multicultural backgrounds, multiple children, and housing expenses. Middle and high school students will receive 500,000 KRW each, while university students will receive 1.5 million KRW each.

In particular, at this board meeting, it was decided to expand the scale of the Seungdal scholarship program for the second half of 2025 in order to help recover the local economy and reduce the educational burden on families. In the second half, the number of recipients will increase by 30 and the amount by 30 million KRW compared to the existing plan, with a total of 210 recipients and scholarships totaling 228 million KRW to be awarded.

Chairman Kim San stated, "Although the amount may be small, I hope this scholarship will help reduce the educational expenses of each family," and added, "Through these scholarship benefits, I hope our local students will continue to devote themselves to their studies and create a virtuous cycle that contributes to the local community."

Meanwhile, the Muan-gun Seungdal Scholarship Foundation will hold a scholarship certificate awarding ceremony at the county office on the 9th.
