Hongseong County Provides Eco-friendly Food Packaging Containers to Exemplary Restaurants

1,000 Containers Provided to Each of 25 Restaurants

Hongseong County Public Health Center provided 1,000 eco-friendly food packaging containers to exemplary restaurants.

The Hongseong County Public Health Center in Chungnam announced on the 1st that it has provided approximately 25,000 eco-friendly food packaging containers to 25 exemplary restaurants.

This food packaging container support project was promoted as part of an eco-friendly initiative to provide incentives to exemplary restaurants, enhance their pride, and reduce the use of single-use plastic containers.

The county expects that this project will not only help create a waste-free food culture but also increase customer participation in a no-food-waste dining culture and environmental protection at local restaurants.

Jung Youngrim, head of the county public health center, said, "We hope that this eco-friendly food packaging container support project will serve as an opportunity to improve the hygiene standards of exemplary restaurants and raise public interest in eco-friendly dining culture."
