The ‘Miraenaeil Work Experience Project’ is a project-based work experience program jointly operated by the public and private sectors to provide real-world experience to unemployed youth, enabling them to grow into next-generation talent driven by design. Participating youth receive coaching from experts, perform actual company tasks, and develop creative problem-solving skills through design-based projects, gaining opportunities to grow as next-generation professionals.

Last year, Busan Design Promotion Agency achieved results by operating 16 ‘design-driven work experience projects’ over eight weeks with 12 companies in key and specialized industries in the region, including Treksta and Nexen Tire, targeting 120 unemployed youth.

In addition, the agency provided a wide range of support, including: △pre-job training △youth allowance for participants and team support funds for companies △operation of a best practices contest △support for participation in the Busan Design Festival, and more.

As a result, Busan Design Promotion Agency received the Grand Prize (Minister of Employment and Labor Award) at the ‘2024 Miraenaeil Work Experience Best Practices Contest,’ recognized for its systematic work experience program reflecting the characteristics of the design industry, and for contributing to nurturing local talent and supporting employment.

Busan Design Promotion Agency has secured a budget of 474 million KRW for the 2025 Miraenaeil Work Experience Project and plans to strengthen the project by expanding collaboration with more local mid-sized and leading companies.

Companies and young people wishing to participate in the Miraenaeil Work Experience Project should contact the project manager at Busan Design Promotion Agency.

Kang Pilhyeon, President of Busan Design Promotion Agency, said, “We will continue to expand education and collaboration programs for youth empowerment and global advancement,” adding, “We aim to lead the development of the design industry and talent cultivation, contributing to revitalizing the local economy and solving youth employment issues.”
