Cheonan City Council Appoints Settlement Audit Committee Members for 2024 Fiscal Year

"We Will Inspect Whether the Budget Was Appropriately Executed"

The Cheonan City Council in Chungnam announced on the 1st that it has appointed five members, including Councilor Kwon Ohjung, as the settlement inspection committee members for the 2024 fiscal year.

The settlement inspection committee is chaired by Councilor Kwon Ohjung and consists of tax accountants Kim Gisu and Eo Jihun, as well as accountants Jeong Hwangyu and Nam Younghun.

They are scheduled to inspect the general and special account budgets and funds from today until July 9.

Chairman Kwon Ohjung stated, "We will carry out the inspection with a sense of duty to ensure that our city's budget has been executed appropriately for its intended purposes," and added, "I expect a thorough inspection based on the expertise of the committee members."

Meanwhile, the 2024 fiscal year budget is 2.4 trillion won based on the main budget. The city council plans to receive the settlement report and inspection opinion from Mayor Park Sangdon and review and process the settlement approval bill at the first regular session to be held in June.
