Korea South-East Power has decided to take the lead in training carbon-free power generation experts for the first time in Gyeongnam in collaboration with Gyeongsang National University. On the 1st, South-East Power announced that it had signed a business agreement with Gyeongsang National University for specialized education of carbon-free power generation experts.
Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to nurture specialized personnel in carbon-free energy such as hydrogen for the just energy transition of coal power generation. Gyeongsang National University, a regional hub university conducting research on the latest technologies, materials, and carbon-free energy technologies, will take its first step toward establishing a program to train carbon-free energy experts for the first time in Gyeongnam through this agreement.
Park Jin-woo, Head of the New Growth Division at South-East Power, said, "This agreement is expected to be an important stepping stone for fostering outstanding talent through cooperation with regional universities," adding, "South-East Power will continue to establish itself as a sustainable energy company by nurturing core experts in carbon-free fields such as hydrogen."
