Dong-A University will operate four programs in the first half and four in the second half of the year, recruiting a total of 100 participants?the largest scale in the country?for overseas employment training. Dong-A University is the only institution nationwide to operate all eight programs across both halves of the year.

Through the '2025 K-Move School U.S. Global Expert Overseas Employment Program,' Dong-A University will select 50 trainees for four expert tracks?Design, Logistics and Trade, Technician, and Business?in the first half of this year. The domestic training will run until October, after which trainees will work throughout the United States.

Students participating in the program will receive 620 hours of domestic training over seven months, including native-level English conversation, English resume writing, English interview skills, visa preparation, interpretation practice, and job-specific training. Afterward, they will be employed at major local and multinational companies in key U.S. cities such as New York and California, earning an annual salary of over $40,000.

Prior to the full-scale launch of this year’s program, Dong-A University held the '18th K-Move School U.S. Global Expert Overseas Employment Program Job Camp' over two days on the 28th and 29th of last month at the Homers Hotel in Gwangalli, Busan.

The event included a special lecture on 'Understanding American Culture' by Consul Nolan Barkhouse from the U.S. Consulate in Busan, mentoring sessions with trainees currently working in the U.S., and lectures on job matching and the visa issuance process.

Kim Dongsu (Class of '98, Business Administration), CEO of 'Cloudnine Solution'?a startup founded by Dong-A University alumni?also delivered a lecture on the U.S. healthcare system, answering participants’ questions.

Since its inception in 2013, the Dong-A University K-Move program has been selected and operated for 13 consecutive years, with four tracks (Business, Logistics and Trade, Technician, etc.) receiving an A grade.

Through this program, Dong-A University has secured government funding of approximately 6 billion KRW and successfully placed over 550 students in jobs in the U.S.

As a result of actively running this and other overseas employment support programs, Dong-A University ranked fourth nationwide in the number of students employed overseas among all universities, according to the 2024 University Information Disclosure data.

Lee Minji (senior, Department of English Language and Literature), a participant in the 18th K-Move School U.S. Global Expert Overseas Employment Program, said, “Since I was young, my dream has been to live in California, which is why I majored in English Language and Literature. I am excited to be one step closer to achieving my dream through the K-Move program before graduation. I am grateful to Dong-A University and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea for this opportunity.”

Shin Yongtaek, Director of the Global Talent Development Center at Dong-A University, stated, “We will do our best to provide tailored support so that our students can fully realize their dreams on the global stage.”
