Honam University Startup Incubation Center Seeks Local Prospective Entrepreneurs

Honam University announced on the 1st that its Startup Incubation Center (Director: Kim Younghyun) has been selected as the host organization for the Gwangju Technopark’s “2025 Customized Prospective Entrepreneur Discovery and Nurturing Project” to provide commercialization funding for technology-based prospective entrepreneurs.


The Gwangju Technopark Customized Prospective Entrepreneur Discovery and Nurturing Project aims to diversify and vitalize the local startup ecosystem and expand the foundation for entrepreneurship. It recruits and supports technology-based prospective entrepreneurs located in Gwangju.


The supported field is technology-based startups (commercialization of products utilizing technologies owned by the prospective entrepreneur). Selected participants will receive startup funding of up to 20 million KRW per project, as well as various benefits such as education and workshop support, and linkage to follow-up support projects after the POST prospective entrepreneur stage.


The recruitment notice for prospective entrepreneurs will be open from the 7th of this month to the 9th of next month. Prospective entrepreneurs and students interested in starting a business can contact the Honam University Startup Incubation Center for inquiries regarding the application process.


Meanwhile, as the host organization for the Gwangju Technopark Customized Prospective Entrepreneur Discovery and Nurturing Project, the Honam University Startup Incubation Center has discovered and nurtured 41 prospective entrepreneurs from 2010 to last year.
