To proactively 'confirm the extent of damage,' the TF Team, composed of the Agricultural and Livestock Division, Distribution Support Division, and Agricultural Technology Center, will conduct a thorough investigation of farmland, crops, agricultural facilities, and agricultural machinery.
Currently, damage has occurred across all aspects of farming and livestock, including 75 hectares of crops, agricultural machinery, agricultural facilities, and livestock barns. Depending on the results of the investigation, the scale of damage is expected to expand to up to 120 hectares.
Accordingly, to enable a swift resumption of farming activities, the county is operating an emergency mobile repair service team (scheduled for April 10), providing free rental of agricultural machinery to affected farms, and plans to support them with agricultural equipment through a 'one-point supplementary budget' for wildfire disaster recovery.
With the farming season approaching, the county is preparing comprehensive support for the agricultural sector in close cooperation with North Gyeongsang Province, Nonghyup, and the Agricultural Technology Institute.
County Governor Oh Dochang said, "The devastation experienced by the affected farmers is beyond words," and added, "We will establish measures to provide the maximum administrative support possible for the recovery of farming operations."
