Unveiled About Five Years After Filming Was Completed
Director Kang Ik-kwan's film 'Virus' will be released about five years after completing filming. Distributor Byform Studio announced on the 1st that it will be released on the 7th of next month. The film, which finished shooting in 2020, had its release delayed due to the impact of COVID-19 and other factors.
The film focuses on Taek-seon, a woman infected by a virus that causes people to fall in love without reason. Bae Doo-na plays Taek-seon, a translator who lives without motivation but undergoes a sudden transformation after becoming infected. Kim Yoon-seok takes on the role of Lee Gyun, the only expert capable of developing a cure. Son Seok-gu appears as Soo-pil, a "born solo" researcher who meets Taek-seon on a blind date, and Jang Ki-ha plays Yeon-woo, Taek-seon's elementary school classmate.
