Promotional Activities to Encourage Community Participation in Fundraising

Yuseong-gu in Daejeon, All Employees Raise Funds for Wildfire Damage Recovery Yuseong District, Daejeon

Yuseong-gu in Daejeon announced that all its employees will participate in a fundraising campaign to comfort residents affected by the large-scale wildfire and to support rapid recovery efforts.


The fundraising will continue until the 4th, and donations will be delivered to the National Disaster Relief Association through the Community Chest of Korea. The funds will be used to support residents in the affected areas and to provide relief supplies.


To encourage voluntary donations from residents, the district will also conduct intensive promotional activities centered on the 13 administrative welfare centers.


On the 28th of last month, the district provided 2,000 dust masks as relief supplies to Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, a sister city.


Jung Yongrae, head of Yuseong-gu Office, said, "I hope this fundraising campaign will offer some comfort and help to residents in the affected areas who have fallen into despair due to the large-scale wildfire," and added, "I ask for everyone to join forces for the recovery from this national disaster and to help the residents of the affected areas return to their daily lives as quickly as possible."
