Providing Healthcare Services Utilizing ICT
Seo-gu District in Gwangju is recruiting participants for its 'Mobile Healthcare' program utilizing ICT (Information and Communication Technology) until the 30th.
According to Seo-gu District on the 1st, the 'Mobile Healthcare' project is designed to enhance the efficiency of health management, such as preventing chronic diseases among local residents. Public health center professionals, including nurses, nutritionists, and exercise specialists, will provide individual health consultations and customized lifestyle improvement services to participants.
The recruitment is open to 150 Seo-gu residents or workers in Seo-gu born between 1960 and 2004 who are interested in health management. Priority will be given to those who meet three or more of the following health risk factors: ▲blood pressure of 130/85mmHg or higher ▲fasting blood sugar of 100mg/dL or higher ▲waist circumference of 90cm or more for men (85cm or more for women) ▲triglycerides of 150mg/dL or higher ▲HDL-cholesterol below 40mg/dL for men (below 50mg/dL for women). However, individuals with hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, or those currently taking medication for these conditions are excluded.
Seo-gu District will select the final participants next month, provide free smartwatches, and offer various self-management services such as one-on-one customized consultations with experts, activity tracking, and body composition analysis through a smartphone app until November.
