Projects Including Research and Survey Support to Be Conducted Until May 2029
Dankook University Hospital announced on the 1st that it has been designated as a regional support-type Environmental Health Center by the Ministry of Environment.
The center will carry out projects such as investigating and researching health damages caused by environmental hazards, as well as prevention and management. The designation period lasts until May 2029.
The hospital will establish an early monitoring system for local residents, build a regional foundation, establish a risk communication system, and support environmental health research and surveys.
Noh Sangcheol, Director of the Environmental Health Center, stated, "We will monitor the health impacts caused by environmental pollution in the Chungnam region to protect the health of vulnerable groups," adding, "We will do our best to develop measures to promote the health of local residents and prevent environment-related diseases so that all residents can live safely from environmental hazards."
