Jangseong County Selected as Outstanding Institution for Tuberculosis Management... Commended by Jeonnam Governor

Jangseong County in Jeonnam announced on the 1st that it has been selected as an 'Outstanding Institution for Tuberculosis Management in 2025' in recognition of its achievements in tuberculosis prevention and patient management. The county also received a commendation from the Governor of Jeonnam Province.

Every year on March 24, Jeonnam Province selects and commends organizations and individuals who have contributed to the eradication of tuberculosis in celebration of 'Tuberculosis Prevention Day.' Jangseong County received high marks for its efforts in tuberculosis prevention campaigns, early detection, and patient management for local residents.

The county has continuously promoted various support programs, including free tuberculosis screenings for seniors aged 65 and older, investigation and management of tuberculosis patients, customized counseling for patients, and education for caregivers. In addition, it received high praise for conducting tuberculosis prevention education at schools, welfare facilities, and senior centers, as well as for contributing to community health through regular awareness campaigns.

County Governor Kim Hanjong stated, "We will continue to create a healthy Jangseong free from tuberculosis concerns through ongoing prevention and treatment support."
