On the 31st of last month, more than 30 students and faculty members who visited 63 Square in Seoul showed great interest in Hanwha Group, which has achieved results in various business areas such as defense, finance, distribution, and machinery.
Participants from diverse regions including the United States, Asia, and Europe asked questions and shared their opinions on several topics such as ▲sustainable society ▲corporate innovation and leadership ▲business marketing utilizing Korean culture.
Kim Dong-seon, Vice President and Head of Future Vision at Hanwha Galleria and Hanwha Hotels & Resorts, who attended the event in person, also answered students' questions. The students focused on the achievements and future strategies of the distribution and service division, including the success factors of the American hamburger brand Five Guys in Korea.
Vice President Kim said, "We want to contribute to society through healthy and sustainable food," adding, "Instead of lowering costs and increasing efficiency through food tech, we will invest in better raw materials." Regarding his management philosophy, he said, "The courage to admit that I may be lacking is important," and added, "I will continue to learn more in the future."
Hanwha Vision, which leads the U.S. security service market, and Hanwha Semitek, which recently entered the high-bandwidth memory (HBM) TC bonder market and joined the 'NVIDIA supply chain,' also attracted students' attention.
Student Xaviera Ho, who attended the event, said, "Through Hanwha, which achieves concrete results in various markets, I had an opportunity to deeply consider successful business strategies and the role of entrepreneurs," and added, "I will continue to watch the Korean market and Hanwha's business with interest."
A Hanwha Galleria official said, "It was a great opportunity to inform global talents with diverse experiences about the Korean market and Hanwha's differentiated competitiveness," and added, "We will continue to communicate with young leaders who will lead future society through various methods."
