Honam University Department of Emergency Medical Technology Provides 'Advanced Resuscitation' Training at Dongshin University

The Department of Emergency Medical Technology at Honam University (headed by Ko Daesik) announced on the 1st that it recently conducted the KALS (Korean Advanced Life Support) course for 35 students from the Department of Nursing at Dongshin University.


The instructors for this course included Professors Yoon Jonggeun, Lee Hyochul, and Moon Junyoung from the Department of Emergency Medical Technology, and Professor Yoon Kyungsun from the Department of Nursing at Dongshin University, totaling four instructors.


KALS is a specialized resuscitation course for cardiac arrest situations, developed by the Korean Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation to suit Korea's healthcare environment, and is a certification program for healthcare professionals.


The Honam University Emergency Medical Education Center is the only university in Gwangju and Jeonnam accredited by the Korean Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation to provide all levels of training, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Korean Basic Life Support (KBLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Korean Advanced Life Support (KALS), fostering pride among faculty and students.
