Magnets, Hand Towel Set, Songpa Bread... 4 Items, 6 Types Released
Songpa Bread Available at Cherry Blossom Festival, Other Souvenirs at Songpa Tourism Information Center
Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) will launch six new types of tourism souvenirs on the 2nd, capturing the unique charm of the region.
The tourism souvenirs consist of a total of four items and six types. Utilizing the Songpa-gu city brand, they combine practicality and distinctiveness. The detailed items are ▲ HahaHoho PVC magnets (2 types) ▲ Seokchon Lake acrylic magnets (2 types) ▲ hand towel set ▲ Songpa Bread (King Cherry Blossom Madeleine).
The ‘HahaHoho PVC magnets’ express the cheerful and lively image of Songpa-gu. Featuring the Songpa-gu character HahaHoho as the central design, they are expected to be popular among a wide range of age groups from infants and children to adults.
The ‘Seokchon Lake acrylic magnets’ capture the beauty of the region’s representative tourist attraction, Seokchon Lake. Made from transparent acrylic material, they effectively showcase the lake’s clear and pristine image. These souvenirs target not only foreign tourists but also magnet collectors.
The ‘hand towel’ is a set product reflecting consumer demand. It features embroidered images of the pine tree, a symbol of Songpa-gu, and HahaHoho. With a soft texture and excellent absorbency, it is convenient for everyday use and perfect as a gift.
‘Songpa Bread’ is a madeleine shaped like the king cherry blossom, a symbol of Songpa-gu. It boasts six flavors with a soft texture (plain, raspberry, mocha, chocolate, mugwort, perilla) and a design suited to the season, expected to attract visitors’ attention. However, it will be sold on a trial basis at the tourism souvenir booth from April 2 to April 6 during the ‘Lake Cherry Blossom Festival.’ One set of six pieces costs 12,000 won.
Except for Songpa Bread, the new souvenirs can be purchased anytime at the Songpa Tourism Information Center (206 Songpanaru-gil, Songpa-gu). Magnets are priced at 6,500 won, and the hand towel set at 9,000 won. The Songpa Tourism Information Center operates from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Mayor Seo Gang-seok stated, “I hope the new tourism souvenirs will provide many tourists with joyful memories and charm of Songpa-gu,” and added, “We will continue to develop souvenirs loved by tourists to promote the diverse aspects of Songpa-gu and further enhance the value of the city brand.”
