Application of Color Design to Factory Exteriors
Creating a Bright and Refreshing Industrial Landscape
The stark HD Hyundai Mipo factory will be reborn with a bright and refreshing design.
The city of Ulsan announced that it will sign a business agreement for the "U-Jaem City Ulsan, HD Hyundai Mipo Industrial Landscape Improvement Project" at City Hall on April 1 at 11 a.m.
This agreement will involve three organizations: the city of Ulsan, the Ulsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and HD Hyundai Mipo.
According to the agreement, the city of Ulsan will support color design for the project, while the Ulsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be responsible for creating an environment that encourages corporate participation.
HD Hyundai Mipo will cover the entire project cost of approximately 1.4 billion KRW, planning and carrying out the industrial landscape improvement project and construction.
The "U-Jaem City Ulsan, HD Hyundai Mipo Industrial Landscape Improvement Project" aims to transform the exterior of old and dark-colored factory buildings into a bright and refreshing color design, improving the factory's image.
In the second half of last year, HD Hyundai Mipo repainted the exteriors of its main building, dormitory apartment, and customer support center with support from Ulsan City's "Building Color Design Development Support Project."
As a result, the factory atmosphere became brighter and more vibrant, receiving positive feedback from employees. Consequently, the company decided to expand the project to 14 additional factory buildings and participate in the industrial landscape improvement project.
As the color design for the 14 factory buildings is carried out sequentially, it is expected that the HD Hyundai Mipo factory located along the Bangojin Ring Road will be transformed into a bright and refreshing space, creating an industrial landscape unique to Ulsan that will satisfy both passing citizens and company employees.
Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom said, "I would like to thank HD Hyundai Mipo for participating in this beautiful industrial landscape improvement project, and I ask for the active participation of local companies as well. The city of Ulsan will not only provide administrative support but also spare no effort in offering human and design support so that the industrial landscape can become another point of pride for the region."
