Record Book Summarizes 20 Years of Achievements
66 Major Policy Projects Compiled

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 1st that it has published a record book titled '2006~2025 Seoul, Records of Urban Architecture Innovation,' which summarizes major projects in the fields of urban planning, architecture, and landscaping over the past 20 years.

This record book is organized into seven chapters centered around key keywords of Seoul's urban space policies such as ‘Urban Renovation, Han River, Parks, Streets, Landmarks, Climate Crisis, Housing.’ Each chapter contains the philosophical background of the policies, project maps, and detailed case explanations.


The contents of each chapter begin with the foreword 'Seoul Until Now, Seoul From Now On,' followed by seven themes: △ Regional Renovation for Balanced Development △ The Pristine Resource Han River △ Parks and Plazas △ Walking City Seoul △ Seoul’s Architectural Charm △ Preparing Seoul for the Climate Crisis △ Urban Life Begins at Home and Completes with Housing. Finally, it presents the direction and vision for the future city Seoul aims to pursue.


'2006~2025 Seoul, Records of Urban Architecture Innovation' will be available for purchase starting from the 1st at Seoul Bookstore and online bookstores.


Im Chang-su, Director of Future Space Planning at Seoul City, said, "This book is not merely a summary of achievements but an attempt to explore the direction Seoul should take by reflecting on the path it has traveled. We hope it will broaden citizens’ understanding and empathy toward urban architecture policies and help enhance sustainability in future policy implementation."
