Diplomatic missions in Korea from countries promoting defense industry cooperation, including Poland and Saudi Arabia, will visit major domestic defense companies' production sites on July 2-3 at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 31st, more than 20 heads of diplomatic missions from countries promoting defense cooperation will visit Hyundai Rotem and Hanwha Aerospace in Changwon, Gyeongnam, and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) in Sacheon, Gyeongnam, for a one-night, two-day schedule starting July 2. Vice Minister Kang In-seon will accompany the group.
The diplomatic missions in Korea will tour production facilities including Hyundai Rotem's K2 tank, Hanwha Aerospace's K9 self-propelled howitzer, and KAI's FA50 fighter jet.
An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "We will promote the excellence of our weapon systems and the Korean government's commitment to supporting defense exports."
