Gyeonggi Hanam City and the Hanam Cultural Foundation announced on the 31st that the special performance of ‘Stage Hanam! Busking,’ held on the 29th at the neighborhood park next to Wirye Library, turned the outdoor urban stage into a festival of excitement. Diverse performances by artists such as No Brain and Tune Around drew enthusiastic cheers from the citizens.

This performance was the second special event of the 2025 ‘Stage Hanam! Busking,’ designed to allow citizens to enjoy high-quality cultural arts close to their daily lives.
Above all, this stage was created by the local community together. To ensure smooth operation of the event, the ‘Wirye Dream Volunteer Group’?composed of related organizations in Wirye-dong (including the neighborhood leaders, residents’ autonomy committee, Saemaul Association, Barugesalgi Movement Council, Sports Council, Community Security Council, and Autonomous Disaster Prevention Team)?and the HN Youth Rights Council helped maintain order at the venue.
The opening act was the ‘Wirye Jaemi Nanta Team,’ made up of students from the Wirye Residents’ Autonomy Center’s Nanta class. As the powerful drum sounds echoed throughout the park, children stomped their feet to the rhythm, and elders nodded their shoulders in time. It was a moment when the boundary between the stage and the audience disappeared.
The next performance was the ‘Glorious Team’s’ waacking dance. Having been active as buskers in Hanam City last year, they captivated the audience with their uniquely energetic performance. The passionate hand gestures combined with fast-tempo music created an atmosphere reminiscent of a dance club.
Following that was the stage of the top domestic jazz band ‘Tune Around.’ As the melodies of saxophone, piano, and contrabass blended and spread like a gentle spring breeze, the park transformed into a resting place filled with music. The audience surrendered their bodies to the rhythm in their own ways.
The highlight of the celebratory performances was the youth dance team ‘Hot C.’ With powerful choreography and dynamic composition, they poured the energy of the younger generation onto the stage. It was impressive to see children watching the stage rush forward to imitate the dance moves.
The stage of ‘No Brain,’ which made the night sky of Wirye vibrate, began. As numerous hit songs such as “You’ve Fallen for Me” and “Young You” echoed one after another, the audience quickly filled the seats with loud cheers. The crowd stood up and sang along, turning the venue into a massive rock festival.
Seo Ji-young, chairperson of the Wirye-dong Neighborhood Leaders’ Group, said, “It was touching to be able to enjoy such a wonderful performance for free in an urban park,” adding, “This time spent with neighbors will be remembered for a long time.”
Lee Hyun-jae, mayor of Hanam City and chairman of the Hanam Cultural Foundation, stated, “Through this Wirye performance, we aimed to expand cultural enjoyment opportunities for local residents and lay the foundation for Wirye to grow as a cultural hub,” and added, “We will continue to communicate with citizens through ongoing performances and programs.”
Meanwhile, the ‘2025 Stage Hanam! Busking’ is scheduled to open with a grand performance on the 19th of next month at the grassy plaza of Misa Lake Park. Having successfully warmed up in Gam-il and Wirye, ‘Stage Hanam!’ is ready to fill the entire Hanam area with inspiration through its full-fledged journey.
