Mirae Asset Global Investments announced on the 31st that it held a global investment seminar titled ‘Non-US Market Inside.’
The seminar took place on the 27th at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul. As major Asian markets, including China, show signs of recovery, global investors are focusing on markets outside the US. The seminar was organized to discuss global diversification investment strategies. Amid growing interest in pension investments, ideas on pension withdrawal strategies incorporating Mirae Asset Global Investments’ expertise as a leader in the pension market were shared.
The first session assessed the recent rebound in the Chinese stock market and the recovery of the tech sector, as well as investment opportunities in structurally growing companies. Key topics included the Chinese government’s economic stimulus measures, policy drives centered on new industries such as AI and electric vehicles, and consumption recovery.
The second session highlighted the benefits of the ‘China+1’ strategy and the Indian market, which is expected to experience mid- to long-term high growth. It presented investment strategies focused on core industries and promising listed companies. India was analyzed as an emerging market portfolio’s key pillar, based on demographic structure, domestic demand-driven growth, and digital transformation.
The third session provided an outlook on the domestic stock market and examined value-up (corporate value enhancement) strategies attracting attention due to strengthened shareholder return policies. It covered sectors such as shipbuilding and defense, expected to benefit from the second term of US President Donald Trump’s administration, as well as government-led corporate value improvement policies and rebound points in the Korean market.
The final session offered solutions for the domestic pension market, which is entering a super-aged society, focusing on retirement withdrawal strategy design and asset allocation direction. Practical know-how, including portfolio composition suitable for the withdrawal phase, was introduced.
Son Su-jin, Head of the ETF Pension Marketing Division at Mirae Asset Global Investments, said, "This is a time when the need for global diversification investment strategies is increasing, moving away from US-centric asset allocation," and added, "We hope that through the seminar, clients and investors will gain insights to anticipate key opportunities in Non-US markets in advance."
