Three New Occupations Including Technology Transaction Specialist Added to Neka Portal Person Information Service List

Three new occupations, 'Eoneo Jaehwalsa' (Speech Therapist), 'Jigeop Sangdamsa' (Career Counselor), and 'Gisul Georaesa' (Technology Transfer Specialist), have been added to the list of occupations in the personal information services provided by Naver and Kakao.

The Korea Internet Self-Governance Organization (KISO) announced on the 31st that it has newly added a total of three occupation names?Eoneo Jaehwalsa, Jigeop Sangdamsa, and Gisul Georaesa?to the occupation list in portal personal information services. This registration was finalized after review by the KISO Service Operation Committee and reflects changes in industry trends and the growing social demand for these professional occupations.


Eoneo Jaehwalsa (Speech Therapists) are professionals in the healthcare field, with about 15,000 currently active. The demand is steadily increasing as new qualified individuals continue to graduate from related universities and graduate schools. Similar to other healthcare professions, Eoneo Jaehwalsa can apply for registration if they hold qualifications under relevant laws and their registration with related institutions or associations is confirmed.


Jigeop Sangdamsa (Career Counselors) are experts who provide career counseling and employment support, with demand rising according to the job market environment. They are recognized for their expertise through national technical qualifications administered by the Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation and work at employment centers nationwide, universities, youth centers, and private companies. Registration applications for personal information are possible if qualifications and relevant work experience are verified under applicable laws.


Gisul Georaesa (Technology Transfer Specialists) hold professional qualifications based on the Technology Transfer Promotion Act, with about 6,900 currently active. Among those working in technology transfer and commercialization, individuals with a certain level of experience undergo education and evaluation processes and are registered with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. They are emerging as essential personnel for the industrialization of advanced technologies and strengthening the technological competitiveness of small and medium enterprises. Applications are possible if qualifications and registration with related institutions or associations are confirmed under relevant laws.


Hwang Chang-geun, Chair of the KISO Service Operation Committee, stated, "Through the new registration of these occupation names, we expect to enhance social awareness of professionals in these fields and provide portal users with more accurate and reliable information." KISO plans to continue collaborating with Naver and Kakao to open the door for various professionals to be listed on portals and to continuously update the occupation list in personal information to reflect the identity of individual occupations.
