The Korea Federation of SMEs Appoints Actor Jung Joon-ho as Ambassador for the 23rd Korean Business Conference

To Be Held from April 17 to 20

The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Kbiz) announced on the 31st that actor Jung Joon-ho has been appointed as the ambassador for the 23rd World Korean Business Convention.

The World Korean Business Convention is a global economic event where Korean entrepreneurs from around the world network and support the overseas expansion of domestic small and medium enterprises (SMEs). It will be held from April 17 to 20 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, with about 400 outstanding domestic SMEs expected to participate.


Jung debuted in 1995 as a 24th generation MBC public recruitment talent and has appeared in numerous works such as the film Two Cops, and dramas Iris and Sky Castle. From 2023 to 2024, he also served as the ambassador for the Yellow Umbrella, a mutual aid association for small businesses and self-employed individuals.


Kim Ki-moon, Chairman of Kbiz, said, "We will do our best to prepare so that the 23rd World Korean Business Convention can become a platform for expanding the entry of SMEs into the U.S. market and diversifying exports." He added, "We expect Jung to play a significant role as an ambassador to help Korean SME products enter more overseas markets."


Jung said, "Not only through my acting career but also by running various businesses, I understand the position of SMEs better than anyone else." He added, "As the ambassador for the 23rd World Korean Business Convention, I will be a strong supporter to promote the event for its successful hosting and to help Korean SMEs expand overseas."
